I’ve decided to introduce a new feature called Juice of the Week that will allow me to share my favourite, tried and tested, juice recipes with you.
Having a fresh raw juice in the morning before your breakfast has dozens of benefits and provides the body with living nutrients that can be easily absorbed and used immediately. It is also a brilliant way to add more vegetables and fruits into your daily diet.
I use Philips Whole Fruit Juicer because it’s compact, does the job and dish-washer-safe (in case I feel a bit lazy to wash it by hand).
Carrot, celery and apple juice
1 large organic carrot (with the skin on)
2 small organic Gala apples (whole fruit, no need to remove any seeds etc.)
1 organic celery stick (15 cm long)
Cut the fruit and vegetables into chunks just so they fit into the juicer properly. Put everything in, process and drink immediately.
Why this juice is so good for you:
It is packed with beta-carotene (vitamin A), vitamins C, K, E and group B, magnesium, potassium, calcium and manganese that are essential for healthy skin, eyes, bones, blood, nervous and immune system.
